PwR adds naSu and ruuit for Digifest

ImagePoweR Gaming have announced the return of ex-players naSu and ruuit for a one time lineup to attend Estonia's Digifest in March.

FI Power Gaming has announced its lineup for the upcoming Estonian tournament Digifest and it sees the return of ex-players FI Niko 'naSu' Kovanen and FI Max Oskari 'ruuit' Aspe in place of FI Joona 'natu' Leppänen and FI Tino 'tihOp' Puumala. Team leader lurppis told HLTV.org the lineup may yet be a one time deal.

Power Gaming 's Digifest lineup:
FI Samu 'plastE' Aalto
FI Tomi 'lurppis' Kovanen
FI Juuso 'contE' Sajakoski
FI Niko 'naSu' Kovanen
FI Max Oskari 'ruuit' Aspe

Digifest will take place from March 22nd to 23rd in Tallinn, Estonia.

For those striving to keep track of this edition of Finnish muscial chairs this lineup last played together as GamePlay in early 2009. Prior to that they had been a lineup as Roccat, the removal of natu setting up the first incarnation of this lineup.

It remains to be seen whether the lineup can survive beyond Digifest. For the last couple of year's naSu's motivation has always seemingly been in question at times while ruuit has suffered from a lack of time to dedicate, which caused him to be removed in early 2009 in favour of SPIKE-ONE, and has since acquired an even more packed real life schedule.

Nevertheless the changes have an obvious logic to them as PwR had severely flopped at ASUS Winter, failing to escape an easy first group stage, and naSu and ruuit are without a doubt top 5 all time Finnish individual players.

Ironically, for the two players removed, it was natu, naSu and tihop who were integral to creating PoweR Gaming as the best Finnish team. natu and naSu formed the team, initially called rootz, following lurppis and naSu's departure from Crack-Clan. tihOp joined from Crack-Clan later and the team looked to have promise, though they remained the shadow of contE and ruuit's Crack-Clan for the title of best Finnish team.

The key moment came when naSu turned up and sparked a victory for his team over Astralis, the team formerly known as Crack-Clan, at the Finnish WCG qualifier. Following their win the team joined up as the new Crack-Clan lineup and then took in plastE and ruuit from Astralis to attend the WCG. contE would also later wear PwR colours as a stand-in for natu at WEM 2009 where they finished 2nd.
