Russia's top team, RU Moscow Five , have once more shown themselves to be the best in the region as they won ASUS Winter 2011 and ~$5,200 in prize money at the Kiev-based event. The team, formerly known as, won in two straight maps over their opponents RU Iron Will in the final.

ASUS Winter 2011 final:

RU Moscow Five 16:11 RU Iron Will (train)
RU Moscow Five 16:4 RU Iron Will (tuscan)

ASUS Winter 2011 final standings:
1st RU Moscow Five - €3,766 (~$5,200)
2nd RU Iron Will - €1,883 (~$2,500)
3rd RU USSR - €1,255 (~$1,700)
4th UA selectah - €628 (~$860)

Perhaps the most surprising result of the tournament was the early elimination of FI Power Gaming in the first group stage after ties with two unknown Russian teams and then a loss to Belarus' Ultimo. DE Team ALTERNATE also fell earlier than expected due to being on the wrong end of a three way tie in the second group stage which saw them eliminated on round difference.

Moscow Five most recently placed 5th-6th at the IEM V European Championship Finals, scoring themselves a notable 16:3 victory over SK Gaming on inferno in the group stage.

Iron Will is composed of four past members of a famous Virtus.Pro lineup. Former player hooch played for USSR at ASUS Winter while former PinG players lmbt and strike played for selectah.
