Geoff 'iNcontrol' Robinson has been hyping for a bit now is finally revealed: a huge StarCraft 2 tournament will start in April, bearing the name North American Starleague, or NASL for short.
NASL will gather 50 StarCraft 2 aces, divided in 10 divisions who will play every work day of every week. This group stage will run for nine weeks which then will be followed by a Ro16 bracket to determine the champion.
Three seasons have been announced so far with the humongous total prize pool of $400,000 with Season 1 and 2 having a $100,000 one and Season 3 - a $200,000 one.
Too explore the topic further, G4TV.com made an extensive interview with InControl where he talks about the idea behind NASL, explains the format of the games, the future he and his team are aiming for and also mentions notorious community figures such as Gretorp and Diggity that will take part in the casting process.

"It's going to be kind of a longer process," says InControl, "and it is player driven but at the same time it's also completely audience oriented. We're not putting this together to stream in our closet and enjoy it by ourselves, we're doing it so that everyone can enjoy it on a larger whole. So one of the things we want to establish going forward is if this is the kind of thing that you can get behind and support then please do. We're not going to do it successfully if people don't turn out, if people aren't excited for it."

Makes me kinda skeptical, along with the fact that they really don't seem to have very many details actually hammered down. Plus this 5 Korean maximum thing is a joke, it has to be.
