IEM V World Championships with $145,000

ImageESL have announced a whopping $145,000 prize pot for their IEM V World Championships

The Electronic Sport League have announced that there will be a prize pot of $145,000 at their upcoming IEM V World Championship Finals. The pot will be split between the four titles of Counter-Strike, QuakeLive, StarCraft II and the recently added League of Legends, 80,000 of which will go in favour of the Counter-Strike tournament.

In comparison to last years world finals, there has been a decrease of $25,000, with Counter-Strike seeing their pot drop by $16,000. On the other hand, QuakeLive's pot will see an increase, but of just $800.

The finals will take place in eleven days time at CeBiT in Hannover, Germany, from March 1-5.
