Team EG has announced that Greg 'IdrA' Fields will be leaving Korea for an indefinite period. The Zerg will return to the United States to compete in the forthcoming western tournaments.

Evil Geniuses has issued a statement that their Zerg representative in the GSL

Gregory 'IdrA' Fields will be leaving Korea indefinitely. Greg will be coming back to the United States with the purpose of taking part in the future foreign tournaments.

IdrA also gave a short interview to Artosis concerning the reasons behind this decision.

"Korea has been the Mecca of eSport, no doubt about that, and I do think that GSL is the highest skill tournament for now but like I said before there is so much growth potential in Western eSports and everything seems to be set up so well that it can pull out with Korea or possibly even overtake it and I really think this is worthwhile for me."

Greg will be leaving South Korea in the beginning of March which means that he will skip the entirety of the new GSL season.
