League of Legends has been selected for the Summer 2011 German ESL Pro-Series.Last week the German side of the ESL announced that in Summer 2011,
League of Legends will be a selected title for its Pro-Series.
The Pro-Series carries a prize fund of 10,000 Euros so expect many major teams to enter. In addition it is likely that many organisations who have held back from joining the LoL scene will now look to pickup a side.

No offense guys, just my opinion
I could say HoN is casual, because it has a casual mode. But the high end MMR stuff is far from casual!
Same idea applies here. Or any game really.
LoL is getting all these tourneys and more money put into it lately for the simple reason that sponsors obviously want to sponsor games that have a huge player base because with a huge player base comes a huge spectator base which in turn is revenue for the sponsor.
But it was because of money obviously, because they couldn't compete with 1.6 players.
