IEM World Championship groups draw today
The groups for the IEM V World Championship, taking place in March, will be drawn today.

The groups for the IEM V World Championship, taking place in March, will be drawn today.Already curious about the IEM V World Championship's groups? Well tonight you will be able to watch the drawing of the groups, which will contain 12 of the teams in the world with the same objective: win the first place. The event itself will take place from 1th-5th March in Hannover, Germany, with a prizepot yet to be announced.
Representing Europe there will be 8 teams in the event, while for America and Asia there will be only 2 slots for each of the region. The tournament will contain a group stage followed by play-offs. Firstly, 12 teams will be divided into two groups of 6 each. The first placed team will automatically proceed to the Semi-Finals, while the 2nd and 3rd placed will respectively have to play the 3rd and 2nd teams from the other group in the Quarter-Finals, just like what happened last weekend in Kiev. There is one slot yet to be announced, which belongs to an Asian team.
To watch the drawing live, you need to tune in ESL TV at 19:30 CET and watch Joe Miller and Kevin van der Kooi, the hosts of tonight's show.
