ImageGroup play is over for Quake Live in Kiev. Both of the group winners went undefeated and have secured themselves a top four placing.

The Quake Live group stage is over at the IEM European Finals in Kiev. Kevin 'Strenx' Baeza and Alexei 'Cypher' Yanushevsky topped groups A and B respectively without losing a series. They have advanced directly to the semi-finals and await the winners of the quarter finals.

Marcel 'k1llsen' Paul will meet Anton 'Cooller' Singov, with the winner going on to play strenx, and Maciej 'av3k' Krzykowski faces Pelle 'Fazz' Söderman for a shot at Cypher.

To go with advancing to the playoffs, the top six all received a slot for the IEM World Championship. However, as k1llsen had already qualified for the IEM World Championship, a match between the fourth place finishers of both groups was set up to determine who would take the final spot. Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira met Richard 'noctis' Gansterer and it was Spart1e who came out on top with a 2-0 sweep.

Catch all the action tomorrow from 11AM CET. Follow the Quake Live happenings of the IEM European Finals via our coverage page.
