The new fnatic lineup have managed to defeat NaVi 16-14 in their first game of the day.The first surprise of the season has come in the form of a 16-14 win for fnatic against 2010 dominator's Natus Vincere .
The Swedish team, who are now sporting a new lineup, started the game defending the bomb sites of de_inferno. Strong tactics and precision executions from the Ukrainians enabled them to clinch 10 rounds in the first half, much to the disgust of hot prospect Marcus 'Delpan' Larsson who had a tough time hitting his AWP shots.
In the second half, fnatic pulled some rounds back with wins from the pistol round and first gun round. Rounds would go either way from that point, with the game levelling up multiple times, until the Swedes piled on the pressure by clinching their fifteenth round. The final round of the game would see a push on B by the Swedes. Yegor 'markeloff' Markelov played his part taking down two members of the opposing team, leaving tactician Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon in a 2v1 with the bomb planted. Despite the enormity of pressure looming over Patrik, he still pulled of two impressive kills to secure the round and a 16-14 win for his team.
