Cypher went down to Cooller in the first map before returning to blast past the Russian and take their series in Group B.The premiere matchup of Group B came early at the IEM V European Championship Finals as the Russian maestro
Anton 'Cooller' Singov met the man who has stood in his way over and over again in 2010:
Alexei 'Cypher' Yanushevsky. Despite taking the first map Cooller couldn't hold Cypher down as the man who many consider to be the best QuakeLive player in the world was devastating in two straight maps to take the series.
Alexei 'Cypher' Yanushevsky 2:1
Anton 'Cooller' Singov
-5:8 dismemberment
-21:7 aerowalk
-16:6 blood run
As a matchup which could well prove to be repeated in the final many eyes were upon both players to attempt to gauge their form going into this tournament. As two of the biggest favourites each knows he may well have to go through the other at a crucial moment later on, with the chances being that they won't meet until the final should both continue winning.
