GosuGamers has now announced the initial formation of a Swedish StarCraft II squad, featuring players Mattias "Naugrim" Ottosson and Tobias "ZpuX" Nilsson. For eight years, GosuGamers.net has served as an ardent supporter and news aggregator for strategy games, formed in 2002 for StarCraft: Brood War. Most notable for its impeccable timing for snagging news concerning StarCraft, StarCraft II, Defense of the Ancients, Heroes of Newerth, World of Warcraft and most-recently, poker, the community is an established fan favorite for strategy game news. Following in Team Liquid 's footsteps and going back to its roots as a Swedish StarCraft supporter, the organization has apparently branched out with the signing of players
Mattias 'Naugrim' Ottosson and
Tobias 'ZpuX' Nilsson.
Naugrim was a major player from Brood War, having played on the national team and transferring that raw talent to StarCraft II. During the beta period, he was notable as an early bloomer who secured top three victories at online events, such as the ESL TV Invite Cup. However, he did take a break and was dormant until the early fall period, in which he began participating in major StarCraft II tournaments once again, including the SK Gaming-hosted Champions Trophy series. ZpuX, on the other hand, was one of the dominant names from the beta period, securing top three victories in several online tournaments. He did, however, move to the United States and fell out of tune with StarCraft II, only recently beginning to play again, which resulted in an early exit at MLG Dallas. Much like the standard profile of StarCraft players, ZpuX noted that he is a macro-oriented zerg player, limited in flexibility but effective in long-term combat.
One note to be taken is that both players are opposed to zerg-on-protoss matches. Naugrim specifically dislikes the aerial competition with the protoss, which frankly, is much more slanted in the opponent's favor, while ZpuX feels unfavorable about the all-in investment that comes with the protoss bill, which effectively cut off his support of the race from his tenure as a Brood War player.
The two Swedes both partook in separate interviews to discuss their induction into GosuGamers .
What does Naugrim think of the current balance in the game?
At MLG Dallas, ZpuX lost to Nadagast. What happened?

What does Naugrim think of the current balance in the game?
"I think it's pretty good. I'm looking forward to Heart of the Swarm update though, because I think that maybe 1 or 2 new units for every race would make the game much more interesting. I especially think Zerg need at least one more unit in order to create more variation. I feel that the zerg is too much focused on the roach in zvp, and once protoss gets +4 immortals, roaches are quite bad. I would appreciate being able to play around with different army compositions than the usual roach/hydra and Corruptor, if toss uses Colossi, into Hive and Brood lords. I won't talk about muta/ling because it just doesn't work if protoss scouts it and go for 2 stargate pheonixes. I'm fine with ZvT tho, I think it's a very fun match up, and quite well balanced."
At MLG Dallas, ZpuX lost to Nadagast. What happened?
"I actually just started playing again two weeks prior to Dallas, after having a break for 12 weeks without a single game. But I still felt confident I would do very well in the tournament, and as I had never heard of Nadagst before, nor did I check his stats I didn't really know what to expect. But I heard he was a former WoW player and we were joking with each other before the game that we should go easy on each other because we didn't feel confident at all. Well turned out he was pretty good. First game I held off his first few units and thought it would be smooth sailing, but I wasn't able to hold my second expo, and when I realized what was happening I saw him already having the gold and I just left the game. I won the second on LT, and then lost a quick game on steppes. We played in the LB as well, we actually got the exact same computers and starting map was xel naga caverns again, but like before I lost first game, won second, and then lost close pos on LT."
