alex is best known now as the brains behind TyLoo. He helped the team to tops four placings at IEM IV Chengdu, WEM 2009, Arbalet Cup Asia, IEM V Shanghai, e-Stars Seoul 2010 and Beat IT. It was announced prior to WEM 2010 that he would retire following the event and so it was that after the team were eliminated by FX in 5th-6th that he exited the lineup.
The team to truly put alex into the spotlight came over 5 years earlier though. In 2005 wNv.gm came out of nowhere to win WEG season 3, placing ahead of HeatoN and Potti's NiP. In 2006 they repeated their feat by winning WEG Masters, grabbing an impressive $70,000 for first place after defeating coL in the final. At the WSVG China stop wNv.gm knocked out fnatic on their way to the title. The team was less successful outside of Asia, with a 5th-8th at ESWC being their best showing.
Of the players on display for the exhibition game Jungle, mikk and sakula were all members of those WEG winning lineups. The 5th member of that lineup, Ma "tk" Xingju, was not able to be contacted for personal reasons so ex-wNv.cn player K1ngZ replaced him. Jungle was the premier player at the time and easily the team's biggest star. alex would rise to prominence during later lineups as he developed a reputation for mentoring the younger and less experienced players.
