SK Gaming's Player manager Timothy "merusame" Ellersiek issued the following statement:
"Another year has come to an end for SK Gaming. As this might come to a surprise for everyone we have decided to shut down our Counter-Strike female section and also not to continue with our Counter-Strike:source division.
The reason for closing our female team was the unstable chemistry within the roster. Unfortunately the very best female CS players in the world didn't find a way to smooth some issues out. After weeks of heavy thinking we came to the conclusion that SK would rather cease its activities in the female counter-strike world as being the best team ever in competetive female counter-strike.
Similar reasons regarding the chemistry within the CSS team were partially the cause of discontinuing our Source division as well. On top of that we were unable to find a healthy fundament for 2011 to satisfy the teams needs. A couple of months ago we decided to delve into the source scene and pick up an extremely skilled CSS team and add them to the roster of the SK Gaming clan. This team indeed proved that they belonged to the best teams throughout Germany. They played an awesome season with 14 straight wins.
I want to thank both teams heavily for all of their efforts and achievements within and for SK and wish you all best of luck for you and your future lineups.
Stay tuned for further annoucements regarding SK Gamings teams and players shortly!"

but clearly comprehensible...
"...counter-strike world as being the best team ever than trying to build a new team that might not be able follow in the footsteps of our previous team..."
so why not shut the sk cs1.6 man team? they aren't even close to 2003 team :) oh, mb now they can be...but thats the part with 'trying to build a new team" :P
Would just be stupid to bring in some noobteam to ruin the great success that SK.female has had.
the male scene has so many professional players to choose from so why not try until you get a magic lineup that can come close to or even beat SK of 2003 ? this might be it. who knows...
and that's exactly the problem... they where the best AFTER sk. SK was the best.
Good move.
girls are pretty high maintence. :P
I don't mind female only teams, but female tournaments is just retarded.
