pita has left RAGE for fnatic.Faruk 'pita' Pita is the fifth and final player in the revamped fnatic lineup. The Bosnian made the switch from Rage Esports who underperformed at DreamHack Winter and the EPS Nordic III finals after an impressive online campaign.
Plenty of rumors circulated surrounding fnatic's fifth player but not many, if any, included pita. A member of the MYM side that received widespread praise for their performances at IEM Dubai and DreamHack Winter 2009, he dropped off the radar following the team's break up and hasn't achieved much success since then.
Now though he has a chance to impress with fnatic, along with an opportunity to play alongside some of Counter-Strike's biggest names.
"Today is a great day. Who would have thought this day would come when I started playing back in the days. To be able to play with idols such as cArn and dsn makes you think you are still dreaming," he told fnatic.com.
The move sees him reunited with former MYM team-mate Marcus 'Delpan' Larsson, a bond he is looking forward to forging once again, as well as competing with Richard 'Xizt' Landström. "Also reuniting with my old teammate Delpan is something I'm really looking forward to and playing with one of the best Swedish talents today, Xizt," he said.
pita continued, stating that he will do "everything in [his] power" to uphold the fnatic name in Counter-Strike.
