niko not heading to fnatic, sticking with Lions

Imageniko will not be leaving Lions for fnatic contrary to rumors and an official announcement on fnatic.com.

When fnatic's revamped Counter-Strike roster was revealed, Niklas 'niko' Johansson was initially slated to be joining the side. But shortly after the announcement went live, his name was removed from the news post.

niko has told fragbite.se that he decided against the move after putting "a lot of thought" into the switch.

"[...] it's true that I got an offer, I put a lot of thought into it but eventually I chose to stay with my boys in Lions. We have so much fun outside of the game and I really believe in the new Lions-team for 2011," he told the Swedish news portal.

fnatic's recruitment of Richard 'Xizt' Landström leaves a space in the Lions swe side, and a number of names have been linked with the position. One person in particular is Rasmus 'GuX' Ståhl, who has become a free agent following his decision to leave fnatic.

niko was quizzed on Lions' potential fifth player, and replied: "It would be fun to play with Gux again. ;)"
