DSRACK: SK CSS face mTw, MaDFroG out

ImageDSRACK #3 continues as SK CS:S made it past SPEEDLINK to face mTw but MaDFroG fell to SarenS.

SK Gaming saw mixed results in the playoffs of DSRACK #3 as SE Fredrik 'MaDFroG' Johansson was eliminated by FR Pierre 'SarenS' Guivarch but DE SK Gaming CS:S made it past DE Team SPEED-LINK and will now face DE mTw .

MaDFroG had beaten AgizoR and Alsn in the group stage to progress in 2nd despite a lost to Fuzer. He was paired with SarenS in the first round of the playoffs though, the Frenchman who had topped his national EPS during the regular season.

SK CS:S beat the American Blight and Denmark's Scandinavia to exit their group in 1st. Their match against fellow Germans SPEEDLINK went to three maps and even featured a scenario where the team could have forced their opponents to forfeit the game but chose to allow them to play on.

Cadred reported the scene:

"Team SPEEDLINK had already been warned about not using the GUI earlier in the competition and today they lined up against fellow Germans, SK Gaming. The underdogs promptly won the first map only for it to come to light that they had used their own configs and some illegal commands - by "illegal, we mean blocked by the GUI - and as such would instantly forfeit the game and go to the lower bracket.

The team were outraged by the decision but the message was clear... The admins were finally clamping down on it, something that should have happened yesterday.

Here's the truly astounding part though... Despite being a map down SK Gaming asked the admins if they could "forfeit their right to punish Team SPEEDLINK" insisting they wanted to play the game and win fair and square.

...

SK Gaming proved themselves to be a class act and have represented not only their organisation well but also their country. Whatever the outcome of the game they emerge winners."
