sooo... how big a fan am i.... how to put this....
well, i watch honcast nearly daily and LOVE your matches ofcourse and get great ideas from them.
furthermore, i watch your games... good time yesterday with Chu? yes... i have no life and have seen your latest games, dont think honcast is all i see cause i know where u live bro :P i check your unofficial games to get even more inspiration and just to see great players play together. Love it!
Also i played 3 years of DotA before comming to HoN so im not just some total retard who would be shitty to play with anyway. + ill play you some lovely support man :P pls pls
if rJAAAAAAY can do it so can i :D
ps. 1704 PSR since yesterday, i'm so proud :D
I think the competitive scene is becoming increasingly interesting, and with the upcoming competition (Dota 2, etc.) I think it is what clearly defines Heroes of Newerth. I used to play DotA back in the days, but it's only until I started playing HoN that my interest in truly mastering the game peaked. I started watching competitive replays and casts, and that's when I got familiar with all the famous teams; obviously, I've enjoyed watching SK games on many occasions.
I have been quite busy with my life these days (new job, moving to another country, etc.) so Honcast has pretty much been the only way I've been keeping up with the game, so give me a hand in my gaming skill recovery process :) I'm a talkative, cooperative player and would love to lane with Fogged, and perhaps take my skill to the next level!
Good luck to everyone!
A slight introduction of me would be slightly too long. To keep matters simple, I will address to major reasons to why I find this offer interesting. As a new player, compared to those who began with DotA, I have always been relatively puzzled of what to do. I am not far too fond of playing the most important heroes, as I feel that I am incapable of carrying a team. Not only is this the primary thing I feel I have to develop, but it is also an aspect of the game I believe is very fun.
Something to mention is that I find strategy and theory quite entertaining as well. I love looking of the aspect of the laning phase and hero setups. I tend to believe I am fairy qualified to strategically lead a team, although I rarely take the opportunity to do more than suggest ideas when playing scrims.
If I was allowed to learn from any player who is much much more experienced than me, I would really take that chance to heart. It would be something which probably would have increased my performance within Heroes of Newerth, and perhaps other games as well.

Thanks!
I talk to much while I play.
Never rooted for sk. So I hope that's not a factor in this selection.
I do have respect for anyone better at this game. So I suppose that's why I'm posting here. I just hope fogged isn't a nice guy or our time together will probably not be fun.
I am RSS.
I started off playing EASY MODE, after my brother convinced me it was a good game mode to start on.
I now try to play Normal Mode, and it is very hard, as I cannot shake the Easy Mode ways.
I have played a lot of Normal Mode before stats reset, but the people were mean, and it was very hard, because all of my friends played Easy Mode.
I would VERY much like someone to introduce me into Normal Mode, that can teach me what to do, and set me off on a good foot. I would very much appreciate a chance at being good at HoN, because I enjoy this game alot.
Thank you,
RSS.
I was introduced to this game by a friend of mine and decided when creating my account to be known as SuperFriends.
I enjoy playing sports and hoped to one day prosper as a professional volleyball player until my dreams were crushed when I met persons taller and more athletic than me. I've spent four years before coming to this realization, and it angered me that I knew that I could never become the best at this sport. By now, you're probably wondering why am I rambling about something not pertaining to Heroes of Newerth? This is because after this upsetting awareness, I decided I wanted to be the best - or at least one of the best at something. Since this could not be in any sort of athletic sport, whether due to my height not being over two meters tall or not having the body build to do as other top athletes can, I decided that I can be good at one game.
This leads to my start at playing Heroes of Newerth not for fun, but to learn. I've been yelled at by random persons during beta for not knowing what to do (albeit I always did my best to prevent feeding) and have since spent my time playing no stat games, thus explaining why I have only 33 games recorded at this time (10/25/10). I've applied for mentors on the HoN forums and ended with lack of results. I've applied to several clans and was accepted to one in which I was kicked out from without reason after five days. Since then I've been playing with LN and been learning and asking questions from everyone. I can even proudly say that I have played in several 1700+ avg PSR games and felt that I showed progress in becoming the best. Although I've never been praised by someone with a clear understanding of the game; I do not get scorned at by decent players (I still get yelled at by 1200 EM players for being noob though >_>). I'll admit that I used to hiss at players all the time even though my own performance was not the best. Since then, I've learned to control my behavior (or rage as we like to call it on the internet) and provide advice - which ironically leads to the player shouting at me that I'm a noob and insulting my mother.
So this directs to why I should be chosen out of many candidates to learn from an expert. This is a rather tough one to answer as that I am saying that I am learning on my own and making advances. The reason that I should be the winner is because I will not take what I learn in vain the way many others do. I don't believe that I would be learning info from Fogged to pad my PSR and Stats, but to help my team become victorious even if this means that I have to die every time and getting a .1 KDR, which is a large fear of mine considering because so many players believe that KDR is the stat to look at rather than considering all the stats together (assists, wards bought, apm, heroes played...). Being the professional HoN player that Fogged is, I know there will be something that he can teach me that I have currently overlooked, or have never even taken into consideration. Furthermore, I believe that I can even take what knowledge I gain and use it for other games that use a similar thinking style or metagame.
Whether I win or not, I hope you have learned something about me, perhaps even enjoyed reading this submission, and if you ever see me in a game you will not put me down for whatever errors I make as that I try my best for the team and not myself.
With best wishes in regards to SK Gaming Staff & Players,
SuperFriends.
I was looking around on the internet and searched for new DotA games because I got bored about the old one.
But now when I play HoN it feels like I've lost the flow and I want to get it back , I play alot with my friends (Normal Mode).
Tho I'm only 14 years old but I love the game. But it seems to me that I don't get better at the game at the moment.
I just feel so stuck that's why I want this opportunity so I can reach the higher level and become a better player.
I havent got much more to say than - Hope you'll pick me.
Best regards Aliox.
My name is Derek I'm 20 years old and I've been playing HoN since beta. I got my invite 9/22/09 and I have been playing ever since. Before HoN I played wc3 DoTA back when the stable map was .48b and quit around .59c. As for the competitive scene, I've spent most of my time playing with a group of friends and for the most part I was stuck playing support. With this is mind I believe I was responsible for holding them back. This consisted of me not knowing when to initiate, buying the wrong item or leveling up the wrong skill in certain situations. Our games were played in the high level's rooms on Garena and clan scrim on IRC, I know I've seen some SK players in there back in the day. A lot of my free time is spent playing this game that I love, so winning this would make it so much better. This would mean a lot to me because before the school semester started I was in an active HoN clan (CL Consistent Luck) but when they started to play In ESL, I was benched for not being good enough.
I think you should pick me because this would be a dream come true for me to actually play with an SK member. The knowledge I could learn from a professional player would be priceless.
Thank you
Derek
Thank you for the chance to play a lane with SK, hope you guys will "Choose wisely" :)
So I hope you pick me, and help encourage a more fun-loving and competitive group of players to be active on HoN.
To be honest, I'm only a casual gamer because I don't have tons of time to pour into this game as some others do. I work pretty hard in my real life job so gaming, for me, is a good outlet. However, I do love playing HoN with my buddies every other night or so. As of right now I'm in the 1200 PSR range. This is in part because of bad picks, bad team play, bad progression into mid and late game, bad coordination, and I guess bad playing in all honesty. I would absolutely love the opportunity to have a chance to play with one who is in the Pro scene so I could take what I learn and help my buddies as well.
Thank you for your consideration.

Played HoN for a few months now, as well as for around a year in the beta. I also played DotA basically since Icefrog took over, so coming to HoN was basically like a graphics update for me.
First of all, I'm not going to pretend to be a die-hard fan of SK or of any other competitive team (although I do like watching certain players play quite a bit :P). What I do want to say is that I do enjoy watching and following the competitive scene and love watching games between the top teams, whichever they may be.
I'm a decent player (by no means at your level but not terrible either,) but I would like the opportunity to play a few rounds with a player who is known in the competitive scene (in this case Fogged) and get some insight on what I can do to improve myself so that I can compete at a semi-competitive/competitive level of play. I know all the basics as well as many advanced skills needed to succeed at DotA but just need that experience that a competitive player can give me as to how to dominate a lane and farm like a beast or how to help turn the tables when it comes to timing my ultimates, abilities, etc and my actions in team fights.
So It'd be pretty cool if you guys picked me, but whoever wins, its a pretty cool thing for you guys to setup, so thanks for the chance!
My name is Theo Kontos; however, my gamer tag has always been some variation of Vor. I am now 18 years old, and have 3 years of DotA background and almost 1 year of HoN under my belt. For the last few months, I have been leading a clan of 1650-1800 psr players under the tag LCe, or lost cause. I have experience with all roles in DotA/HoN , however I find myself most excelling as a pure babysit or carry role, as I am not fantastic at ganking. Since coming to HoN, a friend and I both wanted to greatly step up our game to take ourselves to a professional level, and because he had far less experience than me originally, I played support roles while he carried for quite some time. After we got to around 1750 we joined up with LCe and began scrimming other low level clans; however, I noticed our teamwork as a group was very lackluster. Furthermore, the fact that trilanes started to be run more and more frequently, my level of support play was quickly diminishing as it has shifted to a very gank heavy game, which for whatever reason I do not have great success with, despite studying the roles and positioning of trilanes for some time. After playing vs. DRD and seeing how far our team had to go to reach any level of competitive play (we got stomped hard, as expected), I personally felt like I let my teammates down. Since then, I have reset my stats and begun studying up on top levels of play from the trilane/ harder carry perspective and am quickly working my way back up to the PSR of my team in order to finalize some roster and role changes in our lineup. I have always admired Fogged as one of the best ricers in HoN, and often used him as an example to teach both myself and my friend a more in-depth look at the carry role. I am very eager to learn to improve my game, and I feel as though this was an opportunity I could not pass up in the hopes of being able to learn both how to improve my personal play as well as that of my team and its coordination. We have the potential, but never seem to be able to get it together, and I am hoping that this will be what can finally bring us over our hump and get us playing more like a team. Thank you for your consideration in this contest, and I wish everyone the best of luck.

I am not trying to win this by saying you are the best team or that i am your biggest fan or that i am so bad and so sad that i need this contest, ill just skip that part.
The thing is, i always want to play better games, i dont like to win by 30/0 or be facerolled to the ground, i like to have a game where i can't say "this is lost" or "gg we won", my problem is that i dont have a team, i solo'ed to 1750 psr where i found out that it was impossible to climb further without friends on your skill level.
I do everything i can, i am normally a carry/ganker player, but sometimes i play a streak of games with support heroes to try to understand what that role implies us to do, so when i am on carry role i wouldn't ask for something i could not give when i was on their side, otherwise i try to share my game experience for them to also improve.
Last thing, i really wanted to play competitive, to feel more pressure, to be forced to be at your best, because -5psr isn't the same than a knockout of a tournament, and by playing on this contest maybe i could get that little bump that would lead me to the next game experience, i think i have what it takes, i just need a small boost and some sight.
regards
Mandown
I've been biting the dust with ~1000 PSR, but fought my way up again to 1500-1600 PSR, but I doesn't seem to be improving any more. I still enjoy the game, but gaining PSR is always fun, therefore the tips from a pro would be epic. Even though, that I'll never become a pro, I would like improve my game and learn a trick or two.
Best Regards
