Fnatic released an interview today with EG's StarCraft II player Greg 'IdrA' Fields as he competes at MLG D.C.Earlier today Fnatic released an interview with Evil Geniuses StarCraft II player
Gregory 'IdrA' Fields. In the interview IdrA discusses his beginnings in Korea, why he left CJ Entus and moved to Team EG, what his parents think of his life style and also gives advice to new players coming into the competitive SC2 scene.
When you first joined eSTRO a few years ago, did you ever think you would be a highly influential player like you are now?
You were with CJ before joining up with EG, and it was obvious even months before you switched teams, that you were highly focused on SC2 as compared to BW. How did CJ take the news that you were switching games, and eventually teams?

"Yes, I left my life behind to come to Korea. I wouldn't do something like that if I didn't expect to be successful."
You were with CJ before joining up with EG, and it was obvious even months before you switched teams, that you were highly focused on SC2 as compared to BW. How did CJ take the news that you were switching games, and eventually teams?
"As for the switch to sc2, they were fine with it from the start. As far as they were concerned I was their sc2 division and I would have been allowed to play GSL and whatnot even if I had stayed with the team. As for teams, I didn't switch, I left CJ and then joined EG. I left because I was tired of the Korean proteam lifestyle, the extreme work schedule and the social isolation, so CJ was very understanding of my decision to leave. I then began talking to EG after everything was settled with CJ."

A horrible quote? He made one of the biggest sacrifices for eSports by leaving his life behind and starting anew in Korea to play SC: BW. This is the ultimate representation of eSports and on IdrA's end, he is supporting it immensely by being a successful foreigner in the most competitive StarCraft scene.
A 'wannabe journalist' for supporting a fellow journalist's interview of a top SC2 player? You realize it has happened thousands of times right? People posting up previews of interviews and linking back to the source (as I did three times within this article). If you were to ask the author of the interview, I bet he would thank me for promoting his piece and getting it more readers.
I don't really care if people diss interviews I do of players or dislike feature articles I write myself, but when people nit-pick about titles and stupid things that have no relevance, I just have to comment.
You aren't suppose to understand an entire article based off the title, so anyone that is interpreting the title differently or is 'confused' because they didn't know he went to Korea just needs to spend 8-9 seconds reading the first few words.
I'm in no way bashing your ability to write articles as i don't recall reading any by you. Thanks for the link to the interview but take a lesson from the writer of the interview and choose a title which is catchy and not offensive to esports.
Watch this to see him act like a brat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N77gDrYNMRQ
He killed everybody at MLG so there you go :)
