A few weeks ago we saw Area51 ca win WCG Canada ahead of Sway Gaming and NoPression, qualifying themselves for the upcoming WCG Grand Finals in Los Angeles, California.

After an interesting turn of events, popular Canadian player on Area51 Garett 'Grt' Bambrough has decided to go inactive. ESEA News cites that GRT is removing himself from the team because he can no longer enter the United States, and that he is in need of a 'special waiver' to travel into the country. For those who remember, GRT, alongside Canadian player shaGuar were barred from the US during the CS:S CGS era, forcing them to miss out on the season after being drafted.

His replacement will be Kory 'semphis' Friesen, last seen playing for Finesse Gaming (also known as Team Ruins) at the ESEA-Invite LAN Finals and the Arbalet Cup Dallas. semphis told ESEA News that 'It feels good to be playing in an all Canadian team again after my short stint in Ruins.'

Look out for Area51 ca at the WCG Grand Finals where they have been placed in a group with WeMade FOX , GameHolics , and neWave .
