The time has come to wrap up another epic voyage that is the $2,000 GameReplays Tournament Season 2. After a total of 5 qualifiers and group stages we are now left with Loaded and Empire Gaming . It is no surprise to see Loaded in the finals as they will look to overcome the defeat of last seasons finals at the hands of SK Gaming (known as fiVe at that time) who were knocked out by DWi this season.

Empire Gaming ranked 2nd on the EU ladder enter the finals with a 64% win, the only team better than them this season was fnatic , who is out of the competition, and that is the only team Empire Gaming lost to during the season.

Loaded dominated the US division with a whopping 80 points and 79% win. Even without their well know players, Chu and Warden, they were an enigma to other US teams, and also the most active team in the competition with a total of 14 games played during the qualifying rounds.

As usual, there is no one clearly favored in this match-up. Perhaps the only thing clear is that Empire Gaming and Loaded proved that they deserve to be in the grand finals with everything they displayed this season, and will no doubt provide us with amazing teamwork, amazing plays, and the highest level of play in Heroes of Newerth to date. The grand finals will be best of five and should start this Sunday September 5th at 18:00 GMT. We will do everything in our power to provide a livestream, if not we will provide the VoDs as soon as the games are finished.
