However Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon has told fnatic.com that after talking to ESL staff, the team have decided to play in the competition following their return from Beijing next week.
"After several discussions with the staff from ESL we came to the conclusion that FnaticMSI would return to the EPS season and we will take up the race to win the title when we come back from Beijing where we are now participating in the MSI Beat it finals.
"I would like to use this moment to thank ESL for listening to our concerns and we do hope the upcoming season will run smoothly. I also want to send my apologizes to the community for the confusion we have caused in the past week but I promise we will pay you back in terms of intensive games in the season 3."
