Long serving Team Dignitas Halo 3 player Vard has left the organization for Royalty Gaming. When a rumored Halo: Reach 'super team' was revealed on Decerto many were sceptical about the whole situation. But the past 24 hours have seen a couple of events that sway the rumor towards fact.
Ed 'Vardd' Burrows was one of the supposed new Royalty players and today the move has been made official. He leaves Team Dignitas following a disappointing performance at the first ECL event where his side ended up finishing 5th, behind all four of their closest competitors.
Vard spoke to HaloReachForum Europe regarding the move:
Royalty Gaming's owner Gavin Baillie also added his thoughts, along with how he went about capturing the veteran player. "Ed had around 4-5 months left on his contract at Dignitas and I'm pleased to say that after a few discussions with Dignitas we agreed a fee and everything has gone through and here we are," he said. "It gives me great pleasure to welcome Ed to the Royalty.Halo lineup."
Though this leaves the Royalty Gaming Halo: Reach squad with two members, Eddie 'Reaction' Leck parted ways with Power Gaming yesterday. No announcements have been made regarding his future but Royalty Gaming is one of the places the MLG professional looks to be heading towards.

Vard spoke to HaloReachForum Europe regarding the move:
"When Royalty Gaming approached me and asked me to represent their name in Reach, I was over the moon. I wanted a fresh start on Halo: Reach and this is a way I can start over. I can see big things to come in Royalty Gaming and I want to thank them so much for giving me this opportunity. I want to achieve the best possible in my gaming career and accomplish my goal of a first place finish."
