Yesterday saw the WCG 2010 qualifier for Denmark take place, were the powerhouse that is mTw fell to the newly formed wCrea dk in the final.

After winning their semi-final games, the two teams met in the finals, which would turn out to be a three map saga. The first map, de_train, saw wCrea show what they were made of by taking the first pistol of the game. Through the first half, luck seemed to be on wCrea's side as their decision making lead to a 12-3 lead at the half. In the second half, mTw were unable to get back into the game, eventually losing 16-10.

In map 2, de_tuscan, mTw's mood changed, with them locking down the pistol round, then taking 5 more rounds. However, round 7 saw a change in spirit, as their 6-0 lead soon turned into an 8-7 first half loss to wCrea. When the second half restarts came, mTw buckled down and strung 9 straight rounds together, to win the second map 16-8 and even up the match.

The third and final map, de_dust2, would decide this years Danish Counter-Strike representatives. Coming from losing 8 straight rounds, wCrea bounced back, taking the pistol round, only to exchange rounds throughout the first half, resulting in another 8-7 first half lead. Once again, wCrea took the pistol, only this time they would take the necessary 8 rounds, only letting up once to mTw, to win the game and match.

wCrea will be heading to the United States later this year, were they will represent Denmark at the World Cyber Games 2010 Grand Finals.
