North-American team CheckSix Gaming re-opens its doors once again with a new core management team, players, and sponsor. For those who have been involved in eSports for awhile, you are probably familiar with the name CheckSix. Founded in 2003, x6 was one of North-America's first professional gaming organizations after branching off from the game America's Army. The organization has had teams in over 20 games and has sponsored some of gaming's biggest stars.
Since then CheckSix has not had a spotless history, with several public disputes between players and the organization along with alleged claims of false promises. The team has went in and out of activity on numerous occasions and players have often come and gone from x6 with no real reason or explanation. The difference from those times and now is that the management of x6 has made it's most drastic change with new faces Curt 'KeyHunt' Carter and Ian 'FuzzyHat' Olson at the helm of the project.
Immediately following the announcement of the teams re-opening, they announced the acquisition of StarCraft 2 player
Jimmy 'ThisIsJimmy' Van Sise. Jimmy was seen playing in the SC2 beta in many online cups and is currently competing at the the MLG Raleigh SC2 event (picture from above).
Curt 'KeyHunt' Carter talked about SC2:
Jimmy 'ThisIsJimmy' Van Sise will be representing x6 in the remaining MLG stops and in the ESL’s Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) season for SC2.

"Jimmy was one of our first choices in getting a StarCraft 2 player. After speaking with him, it just seemed like the perfect fit. We both had the same goals in mind, the same view on e-sports, and StarCraft 2 in general. I'm very happy we have decided to work together and I hope that it stays like that for a very long time. MLG Raleigh will be his first live event with Check-Six. Be sure to come up and say hi to him. We would like to thank PureTrak for making our revival possible and make sure you check out their products."
