Two players from North of the US border will meet in the upper-bracket semi-finals of MLG Raleigh.A huge mass of games has already taken place in Raleigh but the best is yet to come. The enormous 64 player tournament is about to hit the upper-bracket semi-finals with two Canadian players facing off.
Chris 'HuK' Loranger just got done beating 'Cauthonluck' in a truly epic series of games. Coming off the back off a disappointing showing at IEM last week, the protoss player has been tearing his way through the upper-bracket. He has only dropped two maps so far with some amount of prize money already guaranteed.
He will face the ex-WC3 player Jonathan 'KiWiKaKi' Garneau. The former-orc has also dropped only two maps, adding a little extra spice to the upcoming game - if any were needed. It's arguable that Kiwi has faced stronger opponents so far, having already faced Zotac hero Jeffrey 'SjoW' Brusi and putting out two of the surprise hits of the event: 'Nadagast2' and Nick 'LastShadow' De Cesare. Whether this leads to better practice or just fatigue remains to be seen.
