A press release has confirmed that the company WoLong Ventures has now taken full ownership of the two brands, CPL and CAL.

A press release has confirmed that the company WoLong Ventures has now taken full ownership of the two brands, CPL and CAL.Out of the blue, NewWorld have released a press release which states the CPL and CAL are now under the ownership of WoLong Ventures. The American company NewWorld and their CEO Angel Munoz founded the CPL, where they made it one of the biggest events of all time, rivalling in prestige with the likes of WCG and ESWC.
The CEO of WoLong Ventures, Ryan Schumacher, is certainly not in the dark when it comes to eSports. He has previously been involved with AmpedNews.com and Games Media Properties, once a parent company of WSVG.
Official Statement from Ryan Schumacher, WoLong Ventures CEO:
In the press release, both companies have agreed not to disclose any figures regarding the transaction. But with the brands now officially in new hands, it could be a sign of one of the greatest events making a return to the eSport world.
In addition to this, the new owner of the CPL and CAL, Ryan Schumacher, has already contacted HLTV.org and stated he will comment on the matter later this week.
