ImagePlayZone's Finnish Counter-Strike division have been reduced to a single player following a poor showing at the WCG Nordic qualifier.

Just over a month ago, the PlayZone Finnish Counter-Strike team suffered a major blow after three of their players were called in by the military to serve their mandatory period. The two remaining players, Kimmo 'BASiC' Fagerholm and Joni 'Freon' Huumo, decided to carry on representing PZ and brought in three new additional players.

After recruiting three players, the team headed to Helsinki for the WCG Nordic qualifiers, where the side suffered four defeats, resulting in an early exit. This brought about a conflict between the two original members, both with a difference of opinion on the new members, leading to Kimmo 'BASiC' Fagerholm retiring from the game all together.

Statement from PlayZone owner Kristopher 'Sight' Smith, to HLTV.org:

"In their first event, the new players lacked experience and became nervous, so Freon did not think they could become experienced fast because they had EPS Nordic soon.

He wanted to take in some old players from the Finnish scene and try them out, while BASiC disagreed and wanted to stick with the new ones, seeing their potential.

But Freon did not want this, and BASiC has decided to quit professional CS for now and let Freon find his new team."

The side is to be once again rebuilt by the one remaining member Joni 'Freon' Huumo, who has until next monday before the start of the third Nordic Pro Series.
