The somewhat confusing route to this year's Blizzcon became a little bit more straightforward today when Blizzard announced the first four invitees for the European regionals. SK Gaming's latest European lineup is one of the lucky few, labelled as "clearly a favourite in this year’s invitational tournament," on the official website.

Team Dignitas , the team SK beat in last year's IEM Europe final, are an unsurprising invite. Under various organisations' tags they have been one of the strongest teams in the world for a long time. But in terms of Blizzcon, x6tence is probably the most experienced team Europe has to offer. The Spaniards were Europe's top finishers at Blizzcon proper last year. With that in mind, Blizzard decided to invite them to the regionals as well.

against All authority is the 4th team to be invited, coming back with yet another lineup. Ex-SK player Alexis 'Enigmz' Martin leads the latest incarnation of the French team into battle. They will be looking to improve on last year's disappointing finish but the difficulty of that task depends on the other four teams that will be invited.

With the regional finals taking place on August 7, the remaining teams will presumably announced in the coming days.
