ESL announce Season 3 of Nordic EPS

ImageESL have announced a third season for their Nordic Pro Series, which will see Counter Strike joined by CS:Source and StarCraft II.



The second season of the Electronic Sports League's Nordic Pro Series is close to finishing, with the online finals taking place next week on Sunday. Wasting no time, ESL have announced a third season, which is scheduled to begin on the 23rd of August. This time, the Pro Series will cater for two more additional games, those being StarCraft II and CS:Source.

With the addition of two more games, the prize pot for Counter Strike has decreased to $4,939, which is $3,770 less then the previous season. The format however remains the same, with twelve teams competing, eight of which have already been determined based on the season 2 outcome.

As for the other four places, teamteam and dakarma have earned themselves a place in the Pro Series by qualifying through the Amateur Series. The final two spots will be determined via a EPS Promotion Tournament, which will be commence during the August month.

Currently there is one game still to be played, that being fnatic vs. Oslo Lions. The outcome will determine who out of H2k Gaming and Lions no will receive a spot in the next season.
