The VOD of the GameGune final two maps between FX and fnatic is now online and available to be viewed. EG's lurppis provides commentary and breaks down both teams' economical and strategical decisions. The good folks over at levelup have uploaded the VOD for the GameGune final between FX and fnatic. Both maps, train and nuke, are available to be watched with commentary by EG captain Tomi 'lurppis' Kovanen and myself, Thorin.
The VOD begins just as the players are beginning to connect to the server prior to the first map being played. Talk begins around 4:40 into the VOD and lasts until 22:30 when the map goes live. The pre-map talk is mainly around both teams, how they've been playing recently, roster changes (Gux in for fnatic, LUq out for FX) and thoughts on their map strength. The second map begins at around 99:30.
lurppis does an excellent job of breaking down the economical situation for both teams throughout the game, keeping track of when they must save or attempt risky buys. He also gives his thoughts on how these two teams matched up in the past, referencing the WCG final and IEM III Global final of 2009.
The final proved to be as close as they come with a huge comeback on the first map sending it to overtime and the second map once more seeing a big comeback by one of the teams. Whenever these two teams meet sparks fly and this time was no different in that respect.
