fnatic survived a double overtime first map on train against FX to allow themselves to play for the title. They made the big plays to win the second map, train, and the GameGune title.fnatic have overcome the lower bracket and a double overtime first map loss to Frag eXecutors to claim the GameGune title. FX played them closer than many would have imagined and had their own chances to win the title but must settle for second in Bilbao.
fnatic 22:20 Frag eXecutors (train - 13:2, 2:13, OT1 - 2:1, 1:2, OT2 - 2:1, 2:1)
fnatic came out in force and FX were totally unable to get into any kind of offensive groove, all of their fakes and outside attacks falling apart before they could get any penetration. f0rest continued to AWP for all of the fnatic CT sides. When fnatic switched to the terrorist side they found their own problems attacking, failing to recognize that FX were loading up inside and eventually pushing the stairs. FX continued to creep closer and closer and despite fnatic being at 15:5 somehow the game got away from themselves and wound up in overtime.
One overtime saw similar problems for both teams, though FX had at least one solid chance outside as CT to win the map outright, but f0rest danced around the five train and put up a multi-kill round.
The second overtime saw fnatic finally close out the game on the final round and take map one and give themselves a chance to play for the title.
fnatic 16:13 Frag eXecutors (nuke - 11:4, 5:9)
fnatic again put up a big first half, but this time it came as terrorists on nuke. FX looked really troubled in what to do as they allowed Gux to push ramp at least 2-3 times and kill neo there, opening up lower pushes for fnatic. FX managed to get rounds near the end to at least head into the half with four.
The second half saw a repeat performance in terms of passivity from fnatic as they let the lead get away from them again and in fact FX tied it up at 13:13 and with a stack of money and fnatic on their heels it looked as though the game was the Poles' to lose for a moment at least.
Two key rounds saw FX pushing lower and being blinded by a flash, allowing f0rest to unleash and kill three of them. The next round another cArn flash saved his team as Gux was then able to kill two at upper and quash that push. The big problem for fnatic had been allowing the upper site to be overrun easily but they finally came together when it mattered most and squeaked out the win to take the GameGune title.
In terms of teams struggling the final was perhaps not as entertaining as the scorelines suggest but in as much as both teams knew the other had their chances it will go down as another memorable chapter in the two team's collective histories.

good game from both teams
good job fnatic :)))
I think there is some mistake in here as well. :)
Really gj.
nice final.
GG both!
it's always close games fnatic vs FX. that's why they are so entertaining to watch.
instead of trashtalk we should enjoy when we get the opportunity to see fnatic vs FX instead :D
gg fnatic !, FX back 2010/2011 ^^
but FX played amazing :) i said to myself: "it's impossible that FX will make this 15-15"
and afterwards i said to myself: "guess i was wrong" :D
i don't think fnatic were lucky at all. It's not luck in cs on this level.
Luck is always a bad excuse. It's often used by the losing side because of dissapointment.
But it was a really entertaining match and props to FX they really played great !
and ofcourse fnatic also :) happy they won. Hope for another tight nailbiting game fnatic vs FX :)
but they also have tactics ofcourse. but gamegune they basically played aim only. (ofcourse some tactics but, not as much as usual :P)
it remembers me of oldschool times. for example SK vs 3D and such.
fnatic and FX is the big dogs when it comes to close games :D such legends
