fnatic hand Na`Vi second nuke loss

ImageNa`Vi are out of GameGune in 3rd place following a loss to fnatic in the consolidation final. Losing on nuke for a 2nd time the Ukrainians were eliminated by a Swedish side who gets to face FX again in the final.

Natus Vincere came into GameGune as the best team in the world but they'll leave outside of the top 2 places having fallen for a second time on nuke, this time to fnatic . The match on nuke we all thought we might see in the upper bracket final ended up being played out in the consolidation final instead.

For fnatic they get the opportunity to face Frag eXecutors in the final, with a chance to gain some revenge for their upper bracket loss. To win GameGune they'll need two maps vs. FX's one.

Natus Vincere 9:16 fnatic (nuke - 7:8, 2:8)

The two teams played the first half, with Na`Vi as terrorists, evenly and it ended up with only a one round lead for fnatic. The Swede had a romp in the second half though and Na`Vi were barely in any of the rounds, seeing fnatic players overrunning them and pushing them back over and over. The Swedes loss their last round in the 19th and from there on they took the remaining five they needed to seize victory.

For Na`Vi it's a bitter defeat, not only to the only team who could genuinely be called their rivals right now but on a map they've shied away from throughout the year and thrown. With their heavy tournament schedule winning every tournament was always going to be a huge strain but IEM Shanghai next week will provide a chance for some redemption as fnatic are also on the attendance list there.

In a move which is highly unprofessional the GameGune staff decided to allow the teams to decide when the consolidation final was played, and thus the game began 40 minutes ahead of the scheduled time and was over 7 minutes past the time it would have begun. HLTV.org reported the shameful response from the organizers.
