After Evil Geniuses cancelled their IEM 5 Global Challenge Shanghai participation last Tuesday for no specified reason, the tournament fell one team short. That has changed today as the Electronic Sports League have announced their replacements. The team that will take the spot will be Chinese team TyLoo raw, who placed third at the Chinese regional qualifier after a loss to eventual winners TyLoo in the lower bracket finals.

Sadly, the SK Gaming team will be unable to attend the event later this month, so 9eZ who placed fourth at the Chinese regional will take the vacant place.


The IEM 5 Global Challenge Shanghai will take place later this month from the 29th of July to August the 1st and will have a prizepot of $57,000 split between three games. A majority of $40,000 will go towards counter strike, with the winner going home with $14,000.
