The individual awards have been handed out at Arbalet Dallas and Sergey 'starix' Ishchuk of champions Natus Vincere received the 'Best player' trophy while Danny 'fRoD' Montaner of Evil Geniuses got 'Best AWP'.

Of all the players in Na`Vi the veteran starix was the only one lacking a truly defining standout tournament. He sure picked the right time to have it in Dallas as he was the rock upon which Na`Vi leaned in their three series leading up to the title. In the overtime wars against mTw he was there to push his side forward through the extra periods.

In the EG series he showed that Na`Vi can have the great markeloff rifling without any problems as he takes over responsibilities for the big green gun. Finally against mouz he showed off his skills in a big time final and when the last player left the server there would have been few doubts in anyone's mind who was going to be the MVP or 'Best player'. One might even have made the case that in terms of raw impact his AWPing was better than fRoD's that tournament.

fRoD's AWPing helped his side to 3rd place overall and a little redemption with a win over H2k. Aside from the first map against Na`Vi, tuscan, he was sadly unable to show off his sniping skills as EG were smashed out of the tournament by the Ukrainians. In particular he was once again victim of markeloff's own incredible talent with the AWP.

Nevertheless 3rd overall, with this team list, and with map wins over Na`Vi and mouz as well as a series win over H2k still cannot be considered a total disappointment. The biggest pain for fRoD and his team will be remembering the feeling of being up one map on Na`Vi and then seeing it all taken away from them with little they could do in the following two.
