It has been finalized that the Chinese CS team TyLoo.raw cannot attend the ESWC 2010 & Portugal's k1ck eSports Club protests their movement in the groups. After many ups and downs in their journey to Paris, the Counter-Strike team of
TyLoo raw has stated they will not be representing China at the ESWC 2010. Despite having confirmed their absence from the tournament earlier this month, the ESWC had told HLTV.org that the TyLoo organization was in the process of obtaining their visas, and would be attending the event.
In the end, due to time restraints and persisting financial issues (which resulted from the company which hosted the Chinese ESWC qualifier refusing to pay out), the visa application process was canceled and TyLoo raw officially withdrew.
With TyLoo.raw’s withdrawal, the groups were altered. Portugal's k1ck eSports Club has been moved from Group D to Group F (restoring that group to three teams), leaving Group D with three teams as well.

We can only hope that no more teams or players will make any last minute announcements of their withdrawal from the event.
UPDATE:
It has just been reported that k1ck eSports Club is protesting their move to Group F alongside Natus Vincere and compLexity . It can only be assumed that k1ck felt they had a better shot at advancing out of the group they were initially put into, Group D, and that their chances are slimmer against the likes of coL and Na`Vi.
A spokesperson from k1ck told HLTV.org:
UPDATE 2:
The objection on the part of k1ck has been noted by the ESWC and they have decided to move k1ck back into Group D alongside mTw , Team ALTERNATE and eu4ia . This means that Group F will only consist of two teams, and it has yet to be decided if any further modification of the groups will be made.

"We have filed an official complaint to the ESWC organization against this whole matter for this arbitrary decision, as we think that this is not the way to conduct a major event such as this one."

k1ck's protesting of being switched groups worked, and they have been moved back into Group D along with mTw, ALTERNATE, and eu4ia. This now leaves Group F with only coL and Na`Vi, so it will be interesting to see what they do with that group.
