ESWC released their groups today and WC3 looks tough to predict. The ESWC seed pool system seems to have paid dividends for the French organisations. The groups, which were released earlier today, look pretty balanced. The division of high to low seedings means that each group, as you can see below, has a solid mixture of skill levels:
GROUP A
Moon
Lucifron
Thomas
Monster
Demigod
P1nke
Majestic
GROUP B
Grubby
Fly100%
Vortix
Aka
Syde
Zerter
GROUP C
Lyn
Happy
Thorzain
Wulin
Tas
Paladyn
GROUP D
Remind
Focus
Yumiko
Nicker
Verybigman
Sokol
Although all four groups seem to have fairly clear favourites, it seems difficult to predict exactly the qualifying three players from each. On top of that, the unusual but traditional for ESWC "best-of-two" format allows for some strange results and increases the change of upsets.
