The Dreamhack Counter Strike tournament has finally concluded, with mTw seeing of H2k Gaming to win the tournament. The Danish team of mTw secured their place in the final after two flawless wins over Fair Frag in the first round and SK Gaming in the second. On the other hand, the home team of H2k Gaming confirmed their finals place after a 2-0 win over fnatic in round one and a 2-1 win over the current title holders, Meet Your Makers in the next.

The first half would see mTw starting at CT, giving them an early advantage with de_train being famous for its CT biased side. This worked in mTw's favour straight away, as they would take the first nine rounds before H2k would claim one round back. From then, H2k's confidence grew slightly, allowing them to swarm mTw and take an addition four more rounds, thanks to valuable performances from kHRYSTAL and FYRR73.

With a crucial pistol round lined up, the Danes would again show their experience, with trace opening up the round with a string of impressive kills from his glock, which allowed mTw to pick up the following two rounds using their money advantage. Once again H2k would bite back, taking control of the fourth round and eventually taking it, only to let up the next round putting mTw on match point. As mTw looked to finish off H2k, they suffered another upset after two deadly kills from FYRR73's deagle. This one crucial play pushed H2k into a higher gear, allowing them to take four more rounds. On round 27, a fast rush inside from mTw would be too much for H2k, with them unable to hold off, leading to the round and map being lost.

H2k Gaming 08:07 mTw (dust2)

The map of de_dust2, picked by H2k, would see them start as terrorist. The Swedes would suffer a third pistol loss of the match after some controlled aiming from zonic. Taking the following two rounds, they would then lose the fourth round after H2k finances allowed them to invest in some proper weapons. From then on, rounds would go to either way, but the final fifteenth round would go to H2k, giving them a 8-7 lead going into the second half.

After some much needed team talks, the second half went live. A strong push into B coupled with some great pistol work from mTw member trace would result in the fourth pistol round going in favour of mTw and the score levelling up. Two more clean rounds would follow, with H2k being on eco. With H2k now gunned up, they would attempt to take their third buy round of the match, but that round would see a tournament highlight, as zonic would take out the whole team, giving the team a three round lead. Thanks to that great work by zonic, mTw would open their lead up to four by taking round twenty. Only that momentum would once again disappear after H2k were aloud to take back two more rounds. After that the teams would exchange rounds, until two great pushed into with great entry flags would give mTw two more rounds, again putting them on match point. The next round would go to the Danes, after some failed aggressive pushed from H2k, giving them that all important sixteenth round to earn them the title of Dreamhack Summer 2010 Champions.


That last Dreamhack event saw mTw in the final, with them last time losing to MYM. But today they would break their bad spell of tournaments, as mTw have won the Dreamhack Summer 2010 CS tournament.
