Col Red brought back their RMP in the grand finals but it wasn't enough to stop the past masters, Loaded Black.A story about Koreans winning an event in a Blizzard game hardly feels like news at all. But Loaded were pushed all the way in Columbus despite starting with a 3-1 lead.
compLexity Red were their opponents after making their way through the lower bracket. They defeated fnatic wow in the LB final in a convincing 3-0 style but after losing the winner bracket final originally, they had to start from 3-1 down in a best-of-11 series. Complexity started perfectly, bringing the score back to 3-2 with an unexpected twist. The team that had been running wizardcleave or RLD all weekend brought back the RMP setup that saw them beat Loaded (formerly Button Bashers) 4-0 last season.
Any repeat of that result was quickly put to bed as Loaded won the next game on Nagrand. They were too strong on Ring of Valor in the 3rd game as well, putting out too much pressure for Sodah to deal with. Now Loaded just needed one map to win the tournament but coL didn't lie down. They took back-to-back wins on Nagrand and BEM to bring the score back to 5-4.
But that was as close as they would get. On Dalaran again, Loaded finally got the elusive 6th round to put the game to bed. $9,000 USD in prize money as well as revenge for last year's humiliation is the prize for the Koreans who proved once again that you can never out them or RMP.
Final Standings
1. Loaded
2. compLexity Red
3. fnatic wow
4. SK Gaming USA
As you can see, Fnatic had to settle for 3rd place after they were destroyed in the lower bracket final. They too proved to be the best in their comp, however, by beating SK Gaming USA earlier in the evening. The lower bracket semi-final ended 3-1 in favour of Woundman and co. SK reached Realz' target of top four but will probably be wondering what might have happened on another day.

Also heads up for SK.US for playing so well against ArenaPwnage, it warmed my heart seeing how Realz just wouldn't go down against the most ridiculous wizard cleave setup there is.
I don't get though how an event with just 13 teams and 3 players each (except 4 for coL.Red) has such insane delays, arena games ain't that long but fuck me you wait about an hour per match the stream is plagued with commercials being yanks and it's like players take an absolute AGE to set up and for everything to start. You look at the big CS events and compare them to MLG and it's like black and white, sometimes MLG only has 8 teams and it still takes an age between matches. But when you have an event run by yanks who only want to advertise the most retarded shit known to man then what do you expect, some of the games were amazing but the loooooong waiting between each match and the same cheesy as fuck commercials being spammed left right and center made this MLG event almost unwatcheable, thank fuck I got a tv behind me to watch during all these delays.
MLG is a good event and I follow every one as much as I can but it deserves alot better than this, the guys commentating are always good and they do alot of nice shit like interviews and voice-in for this event but the delays rip apart its reputation. I think this tweet from Nerdstompers says it all:
"2-2 draw with EG. Had to get these kids to the airport since MLG is the worst ran event ever. Did chop the fk out of Cdew G1 tho"
The admins on live blog are the most retarded fuckers in the MLG, they post the most retarded comments like "PLEASE POST THIS I WANNA BE FAMOUS" yet when you ask a serious question it is NEVER answered and instead you got random fags trolling on the blog, I mean why have this live blog if you only use it to troll bullshit and not for anything worthy?
So not only did they have an insane about of delays and breaks but as I said when you got a break from the cheesefest commercials you're forced to look at a logo taking up most of the screen while reading a live blog being trolled by retards. I got no clue who runs these MLG events or how many people they have doing it but the ONLY thing keeping this event alive are the games themselves because 90% of what MLG brings fails, the commentators are good the new audio-feed is good but everything else is a fucking joke.
Get someone with an IQ over 90 to run the event and keep it on a proper schedule, cut back on the cheesefest breaks so you can plug some fucking chewing gum that changes flavours (omg jizz) for the 800th time and get rid of the monkeys doing live blog and swap them with proper people with functioning brains to post useful information and answer proper questions and you have a very good event.
You kinda put up with all this shit just because it's pretty much the only place you can see the top wow players doing arena offline and with a stream but when you take a step back and analyze the event as a whole you can't help but feel it's a complete and utter shambles from start to end. I just hope they do better come August the 27th but my hopes are low.
And I think the Saturday games finished around 2-3 AM but I'm not 100% sure on that since I said fuck it and gave up earlier, nerdstompers played EG during the championship bracket, and considering this game was a group game that was supposed to be played on FRIDAY that had zero meaning at all, it sums up this event.
Did anyone else watch when they went on a break for like 20 mins, then they come back and say the server died and it'd be up in 10-15 mins only to take about 1 hour and 20 mins, then when it was back up they went to fucking EAT, I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK?????
There is a delay of over an hour and they only decide to go eat WHEN IT COMES BACK ONLINE. Instead of eating DURING that downtime they eat AFTER it so instead of waiting 1 hour and 20 mins you wait almost TWO HOURS. Then to delay the event even more they show some STARCRAFT 2 MATCHES, ZOMG?!
I can see why they did it, but when the event is plagued with delays is adding even more delays the best thing to do?
Satzz owns em carried by Numberone's instant dispels.
Did somebody hear Woundman's voice ^ ^
but because of that it never.
Congratulations to all the teams.
