Zerg gets a boost in patch 14

ImageBlizzard will unleash another patch on the SC2 beta today with some helpful buffs for zerg players.

A lot of players felt like zerg has struggled to keep up with the other races in recent patches. It seems that Blizzard agrees, as today's patch 14 brings a range of buffs to the swarm and only a one change each for terran and protoss.

Roaches have been the most debated units in the beta so far and they maintain that record in this update. The 'Organic Carapace' upgrade is being removed but 'Tunneling Claws' will now increase burrowed regeneration from five to 10. Ultralisks also received some win-some/lose-some treatment: 'Anabolic Synthesis' is being removed, but their HP is increased to 500 and the movement speed is being slightly increased as well. The other zerg changes look like this:

- Corruption energy cost decreased from 100 to 75.

- Burrowed move speed increased from 1 to 2.
- Peristalsis upgrade removed.

- Pneumatized Carapace cost increased from 50/50 to 100/100.

- Infested Terran energy cost decreased from 125 to 100."

Terran's only change was a nerf to the Viking's damage when grounded (from 14 to 12). Protoss' sole change sees a slight buff to the underused Archon. The build time is decreased from 17 to 12 seconds.
