The Chief Executive of MLG has resigned today due to a disagreement over company growth.Venture Beat is reporting that Major League Gaming's CEO has resigned. Matthew Bromberg ran MLG for four years, but has stepped down over the company's growth speed. He will move to an advisory role at Oak Investment Partners - MLG's main investor.
"There was a feeling among the founders that it was time to scale back our ambitions and grow more slowly," said Bromberg. "That was not my plan. We all agreed it was best to find a new CEO to execute this strategy." For the time being, the caretaker CEO will be Sundance DiGiovanni, previously the Chief Brand Officer. Despite the temporary nature of the position, he did admit that he would be interested in taking the position long term, but he doesn't want the CEO search to become a distraction.
The news comes in the same week that MLG announced its most ambitious WoW season so far. On top of that, MLG made an even bigger step into PC esports recently with it's SC2 tournament. DiGiovanni also claimed that MLG is close to being "consistently profitable," which makes the resignation even more surprising.

DiGiovanni - Reminded me of team rocket
Instead of him trying to run the company in a way he didn't believe in he stepped aside and is letting someone who does.
It's a rare thing but honestly is probably good for business.
