Cadred presents the answers to their Ask SpawN feature. Who would be the other four players he would choose to play alongside?Over at Cadred they've put up the answers SK legend Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed gave them for their 'Ask' feature. 21 answers in total to a range of questions.
How SpawN stayed at the top despite CS' continual evolution:
Why he moved from player to coach at H2k:
Whether he has encountered any racism while traveling around the world to LANs:
SpawN most famously joined SK, at the time on a temporary basis, in 2003 and was a part of the lineups legendary run of victories. He helped them to a WCG gold, 1st at CPL Copenhagen and 1st at CPL Winter. SpawN's career alternated between SK and NiP over the next few years as he won two more CPL titles with SK but then went off for a successful run with NiP and zet in 2006. Returning to SK he helped secure the SEC title in 2007.
After going inactive from top level play following zet being brought into the SK lineup SpawN made his return, a stand-in spot with Blank aside, in H2k in late 2009. With H2k going a different direction from the underachieving lineups he was a part of SpawN now holds a coaching position in the organization.

How SpawN stayed at the top despite CS' continual evolution:
"My trick was to study how people played so I was pretty much prepared for everything while I was in game. When you know how your opponents play then you will gain more confidence and also you will be able to calm yourself down and think more than what you usually do."
Why he moved from player to coach at H2k:
"There's always an ending to a story, you know. I felt like it was time to move on. I've done my part as a player but that don’t mean that I've stopped playing Counter-Strike completely. I still play from time to time for fun. To coach H2k was also a natural step for me."
Whether he has encountered any racism while traveling around the world to LANs:
"Always, but mostly at airports. Since Obama got in the office I can moonwalk through the security guards at the airport like Michael Jackson. No, I'm just joking. They stop me pretty often when I travel to other countries to compete but I don’t see that as racism more like over protection. Since it's for the safety I really don’t mind them stopping me and asking me question. It's a good thing."
