Bye-bye BB; 2/3 Koreans move to Loaded

ImageTwo members of the IEM finalists, Button Bashers have jumped ship to play under the Loaded tag.

Less than two months ago, Button Bashers were denied the chance to become back-to-back IEM champions. BB, previously known as HON, won the 2009 finals in scintillating fashion, with one of the most well-remembered games in WoW history. This year, the team still managed a 3rd placed finish and maintained their status as one of the teams to beat on the WoW circuit.

But now the Korean squad has to face a challenge of a different kind as they have moved on from the BB label to an American team named Loaded. Loaded's native team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the global finals themselves, but have been inactive since finishing 5th at the American qualifier. Picking up such a well known team will be sure to boost the exposure of an organisation already famed for its CS team, which is one of the top five in the US right now.

But only two members of the team that placed 3rd at this year's IEM will be making the move. Hyren will be leaving the team due to "personal problems, according to the Loaded site. He will be replaced by Kyu 'Satz' Cho. Although relatively unknown outside of his home country, "Satz is a known player in the Korean eSports scene," said Loaded, "and is seen as Hyren's rival when it comes to the Rogue class."

With the tournament realms starting in a few days, the change could be provide a boost for the Koreans if one was needed. On top of that, they are set to take part in a few Asian events as well, included a possible new season of The Named tournament. For Button Bashers themselves, the road ahead looks less bright. They will continue to exist only as a "community website," and as a PvE guild according to their own press release.
