ImageMoon emerges victorious from the last ever NGL season.

The past weekend was one of mixed emotion for WC3 fans. Excitement at a finals tournament, perhaps joy at a Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang victory, but ultimately sadness for the demise of NGL One. The league closed its doors after six seasons that saw many changes.

Starting out as a team league and ending up as one of the premier solo leagues, NGL was versatile enough to last five years. But Moon's victory yesterday did bring a sense of the league coming full circle: the most famous player WC3's history was part of the MYM team that won the first NGL season.

But despite it looking like the stars had aligned for the Korean, he still had to make his way through a tough - though small - field. His first match was a tough mirror prospect against WMF team mate Deok Man 'SocceR' Youn. Moon emerged as a 2-1 winner and was rewarded with another grudge match against Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen. Again he pulled through by two maps to one. But when the Dutchman came back out of the lower bracket, it seemed he had run out of energy. The final game ended 2-0 in the nightelf's favour.

Moon's success rounds off an exciting week for the 23 year old. Just a couple of days before the NGL finals begun he was married with Starcraft legend Yoon Yeol 'NaDa' Lee performing the MC duties.
