In part 1 of his 1on1 interview Carmac, creator of the feature, answers questions on his career in Esports and explains that food in Germany is "disappointing".The SK Gaming 1on1 feature temporarily welcomes home its creator as Michal "Carmac" Blicharz sits down in front of the camera to receive the questions instead of dish them out. Carmac has been a journalist for XSReality and GGL. He was previously the editor-in-chief of SK Gaming and he is now the product manager for the Intel Exteme Masters over at ESL.
How did Carmac get from being a humble unreal tournament journalist writing for nothing along his twisting career path to being the product manager of arguably the biggest Western Esports tournament organisation? Under what circumstances did the instantly recognisable Carmac English accent develop?
Why does Carmac think working for ESL will help his resume out in ways his previous Esports work wouldn't have and what could he see himself doing beyond ESL? What causes him to say German food is "disappointing" and make an analogy to English women?
Focusing on the tournament side of things Carmac is asked to explain which is better: single elimination or double elimination? Is ESL "the" tournament to win for the players, the real world championship? Clocking in at 19 minutes 18 seconds the first part of three in this 1on1 series sees Carmac answering all of these questions and addressing all of these topics.
