ICCUP has recently decided to support competitive Starcraft 2 by announcing a mixed tournament for the North American Starcraft 2 community. As most of us probably know, ICCUP (International Cyber Cup) is an organisation or better said a community, strongly dedicated to organising regular Starcraft Brood War, Warcraft 3, Defence of the Ancients and now Starcraft 2 ladders or standalone events.
Recently, International Cyber Cup TV has announced an upcoming Starcraft 2 tournament that will take place on the US server, starting on the 31st of March.
The International Cyber Cup TV League, as the International Cyber Cup staff has named it, has the only purpose of gathering both amateur players as well as top players from the US ranks, giving them a chance to play hard and go pro.
Starting tomorrow, known players such as IdrA, iNcontroL, Louder or LZGaMeR will be facing some of the US server's platinum players in a round of 16 competition that promises a lot of interesting match-ups.
The tournament structure is set up on a best of one game format up to the semi-finals.
The best two players will be automatically awarded with a spot in International Cyber Cup Pro Leagues.
The International Cyber Cup TV is set to stream the games twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
