vVv Gaming Takes on EU CS Squad

ImagevVv Gaming, the biggest console organization in North America, has decided to take on the Counter-Strike scene by adding Free Agents from the EU to their line-up.

The so called "Free Agents", featuring former Team Dignitas members Erin 'JungleboY' Teucher and Talha 'tALz' Ahmad, have been picked up by vVv Gaming, a primarily console based North American organization.

vVv Gaming has been looking to make a bigger presence in the PC world over the last year after becoming actively involved with the World Cyber Games last year. They decided to make the jump to CS 1.6, however, to become more actively involved with ESL, and other European based leagues. When asked why the move was made to EU instead of staying in North America, vVvPresident Jerry "LordJerith" Prochazka said, "We will have a 1.6 Team in the US also, but we really feel the EU 1.6 Scene is more active and vibrant. We love watching ESL, and it would be nice to build long term relationships with EU PC players."

The team, now named vVv Agents, is taking on the ESL UK Pro Series and sits at 2-0-0 with victories over The Imperial and KD Gaming. They will compete in their first major LAN event for vVv when they participate in The Gathering next week. If they win there, they will earn the chance to move on to Dreamhack. vVv Agents will be the second British team representing at The Gathering next to Team Dignitas.

When asked about why this team was picked up over others, Prochazka responded;

"We did a little homework. Our EU managers approached the situation with a fresh site of eyes. Our management team spoke with the team, and Zac [team captain] is exactly the kind of player who can both think about his team and understand the needs of an organization. He is very mature, and we are honored to have him. I seriously feel that during the negotiation process Zac demonstrated both a great deal of professionalism, and a problem-solving approach that clearly conveyed he understood the needs of vVv Gaming, and he was also very articulate in breaking down the needs of his team over the next year."

Team captain Zach "ZaK" Basset had this to say, "Myself and Agents are very honored with being picked up by vVv. We look forward to representing the EU 1.6 scene for you extremely well, once again thank [vVv Gaming] for opening the door and giving us this amazing opportunity."
