compLexity has released it's Counter-Strike 1.6 lineup of dboorn, irukandji, thoMz, impulsive and NineSpot.North American Esports organization compLexity (coL) have released their Counter-Strike 1.6 team as of today. Apparently the organization is weighing up other options and will announce a new lineup at some point soon.
CEO Jason "1" Lake explained:
CDO Alex "JaX" Conroy provided his own analysis:
coL's outgoing 1.6 lineup:
Derek 'dboorN' Boorn
Andrew 'Irukandji' Timmerman
Ryan 'NineSpot' Bell
Thomas 'thoMz' Garcia
Derrick 'impulsive' Truong
After joining compLexity from the X3O organization the team were on paper the second best team in North America. As Gravitas's team gradually fell apart and performances waned coL rose back to being the #1 team in many's eyes, even despite losing season 3 of the ESEA invite LAN finals to rivals EG. The games between the two had seen EG have to fight all the way to win their maps while coL dominated in their wins overall. The big knock on coL was that they couldn't attend many overseas tournaments due to school commitments while EG were willing to attend a number of events.
Season 4 of ESEA saw them winning the title back and a 3rd place at DreamHack Winter marked a successful first venture abroad, having failed to take either of the WCG qualification spots. By now EG had become the better team in many people's eyes though and coL's 3rd place was criticised for being a byproduct of the easiest bracket route. Rivals EG placing 3rd over better opposition at Arbalet Cup Europe didn't help matters either.
After finishing 2nd at the IEM IV American Finals and taking a beating from EG coL headed to Hannover for the IEM IV World Championship and was unable to get out of Group B after two wins and a draw. Most recently the team finished a disappointing 4th at the season 5 finals of ESEA invite.
Across their time in coL there were a number of roster moves. savi0r was removed for evolution, who was removed after the WCG US finals for thoMz. Finally hero left/was removed for impulsive.

CEO Jason "1" Lake explained:
"It’s no secret that we’ve struggled to find a consistent roster over the past 12 months. Despite the fact that we experienced some success, internal issues always seemed to derail the squad’s momentum. All of the players are great people who are very skilled at the game, but the championship passion and chemistry that defines the compLexity name has eluded us. We are currently evaluating the scene and are considering both American and European options to replace the current roster. We wish the players the very best with everything, both in and out of game."
CDO Alex "JaX" Conroy provided his own analysis:
"It's been a pleasure getting to know the guys over the past year. They all possess the raw talent required to win in this game. Unfortunately, we feel there are some issues outside of pure talent that will prevent this squad from reaching the top podium on the international scene. Our fans have come to expect the best from compLexity and it has always been our solemn goal to deliver on that expectation. We look forward to presenting a squad of compLexity pedigree in and out of game. Good luck to all of the players, they are all fantastic individuals in their own right."
