WeMade Fox defeated MYM in the grand final of the latest WC3L season.WC3L came to an end today - possibly in more ways than one. After a season that struggled and staggered on, the finals were played online this weekend. WeMade FOX made hard work for themselves by losing the first match. But since Meet Your Makers came from the lower bracket the Koreans had a little breathing space.
The 4-2 scoreline from set one was turned around thanks to a moderately improved performance by June 'Lyn' Park. After losing 0-2 against Sung Sik 'ReminD' Kim in the first game, he made it closer with a 1-1 and pushed WMF towards victory. Moon only made a fleeting appearance in the 2on2 where he lost 2-0 in the first game and tied 1-1 in the second. The real hero for WMF was Deok Man 'SocceR' Youn who won all his games in the final, going 4-0 overall against Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Durán.
In some ways, the victory could be a bittersweet one for WMF. A championship win is always great, but with this WC3L season looking like being the last they must wonder just how dominant they might have been. Despite looking like one of the strongest lineups ever assembled, they will probably never have the chance to prove themselves as a team in the way that 4k or WE did in the past.

Well, after all, I guess it's better to have it gone now, when it still represents prestigious high class competition with the few professional teams left out there attending it.
I haven't followed this season at all, but I will say (and I don't think I'm alone here) that WMF totally deserved to win.
Aside the fact that their line-up contains 2 of the most achieved players out there and 1 of the highest-skilled players nowadays, they also represent the true team-play and the true professional level of the WC3 scene.
So, congratulations and it's really a nice thing to see those guys achieving the victory at the finals!
One more thing - the only team that deserve this title on par with WMF is WE, but I guess everything, including the finals being online putted them on a real disadvantage, we all know why.
Once again congratulations to WeMadeFOX!
Also he carried the 2on2. Simply the best 2on2 player ever.
Lucifron sucked hard today and got carried in the team games. It quite figures for the maybe last wc3 finalsl, that Lucifron played so bad because he was massing sc2 games lately and DeMuslim was playing sc2 zotac instead of following his teammates' matches.
Anyway, WMF is a very strong team, but it's hard to even compare them to the dominant teams of the past simply because, like zechs said, they haven't had the time to prove themselves.
ReMinD was the MVP of the finals, no question about it.
After the NGL-One (if it even happens) and Stars War finals, I don't think there will be much Warcraft 3 action outside of China. A bittersweet day indeed.
Best WC3 league of em all. Period.
Good job admins and players! Hats off to wc3l!
