fnatic came out of the gate gunning as they were hoping to book their spot in the grand finals. After beating WeMade FOX in the relegation match with a 2-0 score, fnatic have won five matches in a row. Their only defeat coming at the hands of Evil Geniuses in the first match of the tournament where lag issues played a part in their defeat.

The first match in the best of three series was played on de_inferno, where Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg completely dominated the game for his team. His amazing play led to a dominant victory for fnatic, which ended up with a final score of 16-6. Had SK Gaming not won the first pistol round, the score line could have been much different.

In the sixteenth round after the first half, Jimmy 'allen' Allen had an amazing pistol round and allowed SK Gaming to get a little bit closer, but in the end it wouldn’t be enough as they dropped the match 16-6.

After a short break the second map got underway on de_train where fnatic would win the knife round and take the easier counter-terrorist side. Trying to get some confidence back, SK Gaming were going to need to win the pistol if they wanted to have any shot at winning the map and taking it to the tie-breaker. SK did win the pistol round to start the match, and would take the early lead.

Breaking down the tough fnatic defense would end up being a difficult task for SK Gaming as fnatic took back the lead and started to build on it. In the twelfth round Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon had an exceptional round as he got four kills and took the life out of SK.

The only mistake we saw from fnatic was in the second half, when Jimmy 'allen' Allen was defusing the bomb without Björn 'threat' Pers knowing about it, and moving in until it was too late. SK would take that round, but fnatic would then close out the match and win with the same score as the first one, 16-6.
