Six days following the second patch, StarCraft II receives a balance patch, aimed at enhancing terran gameplay and slightly weakening a core protoss unit.With only a few weeks progressed through the beta testing phase, it seems as though Blizzard Entertainment is not wasting any time and has set out to perfect their new powerhouse RTS using beta feedback. Although this new patch may not have quite as many core gameplay changes, it still will serve as a vital balance patch, as terran upgrades are improved with processing time and the zealot has received a reduction in shield points.
Each upgrading stage of several terran upgrades have been reduced in duration by thirty seconds, vastly improving the race's quick-to-action gameplay. Meanwhile, the zealot's shield's being lowered from 60 to 50 points, giving it a weaker performance than in the original StarCraft. Besides the core gameplay elements, a specific bug concerning the zerg infestor and the reaper's mobility functions has been fixed. Also, a recently reported issue with ATI graphics cards has been apparently fixed, as well.

•Infantry Armor: The time required for each upgrade has been reduced by 30 seconds, decreasing each upgrade time from 190/220/250 seconds to 160/190/220 seconds.

•Fixed a bug where the Infestor's Neural Parasite ability could cause Reapers to lose the ability to move.
•Fixed an issue that could use an incorrect HDR format on some ATI cards.
•Fixed a crash that could happen on some ATI cards.
